Need Help Fast

my port side is 28x21 with a port that is 24high x 3.5 wide. how do i cut the port hole so it is 24 high. do i just cut the panel the piece 28x21 and cut the port out of that. the port is gonna be in the corner.

24*3.5=84

84/26.5=3.17

so if its 28 external which is what i guessed... why not just make it 3 1/8" wide by 26.5 tall... gives u 82.8125sqin vs 84sqin.... would be easier and more efficient of a port since it goes from top to bottom
