cnate777 Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Im not sure but can you connect 2 or more alternators output together i.e. 1/0 jumper between alts? If so should you do it or not? Does anyone have theirs wired like that? Rockford Fosgate Sundown Audio DC Power Inc XS Autometer Pioneer

Pretty much the same they meet somewhere somehow mane. Should be fine I think Steve's are jumped. MLA missinglinkaudio The United States Marine Corps. Pretty much the same they meet somewhere somehow mane. Should be fine I think Steve's are jumped.MLA You can jump them together, but if they are big alts (250+ amps) you could expierience some voltage drop doing all of them through one run of 1/0 cable. It would be better for each alt to have it's own run of 1/0 cable going to the battery. If they are just stock alts, its no biggie, one run of 1/0 can carry 300 amps without much loss. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
cnate777 Posted September 17, 2008 Author Report Posted September 17, 2008 So I wont damage anything by running a 1/0 from each alt to the same bank of batteries or even the same battery for that matter Rockford Fosgate Sundown Audio DC Power Inc XS Autometer Pioneer

cnate777 Posted September 18, 2008 Author Report Posted September 18, 2008 Thanks, the reason I asked is because I was told that 2 or more alt. needed to be isolated i.e. you couldnt connect more than 1 alt to 1 or a group of batteries. I knew when I was told that it wasnt right but I thought I would ask anyway. Rockford Fosgate Sundown Audio DC Power Inc XS Autometer Pioneer
