i am running a duel alt set up my stock alt is running just the truck the other alt is running the rear batteries for the system the second alt has a exturnal regulator witch turnes the regulator on it puts out the same voltage at idle and any rpm just varries a point or two i am running interstate group 31s (six) would like to know what would be the highest voltage they could take at the battery with out hurting them

Well anything above 14.8v is considered dangerous to a battery

Try and keep it below 14v, that's my choice though ;) ;)

def. wouldnt go higer than 14.8...if u wanna do 16v ur gonna have to get the appropriate batteries and amps to handle that

i likes me some audio stuff...

If you want 16v, just series wire 2 8v batts

Also, like amatt said, make sre your amps can handle that voltage

14.5 isn't the best btw

12.6v is normal batt voltage at idle, ~13.2v running, so 13.6v - 13.8v is best
