what about s video cable ?

S-Video cable works too. The quality is better than component. I forgot about this one. Thanks for reminding me, Wazabi

not only doesn't it work... but simple too... but you may need software on your comp..

any idea what software would be needed? when i first got my laptop i tried using my s video to my tv by just pluggin it in and it didnt work  :pinch:

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

you shouldn't need special software, you just have to adjust your video properties so your video card knows where to send the video.

A good place to start is here: Right click anywhere on your desktop (except on an trash). Click properties. For most video cards, you can select your monitor (if you have two connected)

from the settings tab.
