Exodus Shiva-x Vs Re Se -12"

alright so i am tryin to set my roommate up with a system, his limit is $700 but he would like to spend less. he wants a sealed box and two 12" subs. i gave him a choice between these two subs the exodus shiva-x or RE SE subs. i personally like the xmax on the shiva's but they are only 300wrms while the SE's are 600wrms. he is worried about his alternator so the lower power handling will be nice. so im asking you guys your opinions, which subs will perform better in a sealed box setup. either way the subs will be fully powered, havnt chosen an amp yet but will as soon as i get sum input on these two subs.

The ShivaXs will handle 600 watts easily if its clean. Also the ShivaX is very SQ oriented but has the potential to get decently loud.

I don't know where you got the 300 watts rms from

it says 300wrms in the manual, i read it. the site says 600p i think. so 300wrms is what it says, im sure they can handle more power clean in a sealed box. he wants sq, thats why he wants sealed. the subs will probably be facing toward the cabin to reduce trunk rattle since he doesnt want that either. i think i might go with the shiva's just because i want to see what they can do and since he has money and i dont, its the perfect match lol.

If you read the application notes 600 watts is what i can handle...the sub can handle up to 800 watts if you know what you are doing...but the warranty goes out the window.

300 watts is nothing.

i agree, i guess my level 2's are only 300wrms and they bump good xD
