Equipment: 1 18" Fi BTL Fully Loaded. 1 Sundown Audio SAZ-3000d Vehicle: 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Max dimensions: 31" From back of seats to gate. 41" side to side. 2 ft high. Desired tuning: 33-36hz, or anything higher if you think it will really get low, or lower if it will do drums very well. Willing to: fiberglass entire inside of box, although I have no idea how and if someone were to tell me or link me to info that would be great., 45's in corners, bracing if needed, any amount of baffles needed, curve port entry with a router, anything else you guys recommend. Wood: Birch FTMFW I want to keep the box as small as possible...let me know what you guys think, suggest, and any designs you can come up with, sub up port back of course. raytard Posted September 28, 2008 Report Share Posted September 28, 2008 lets call the box 24 high, 28 deep, 26 wide (may be weird, i couldnt get it to tune right with a simple slot port otherwise, if you want it to fill the full width or something, let me know) double baffled top, brace left to right in center (assuming sub is top, port is back), and glassed corners would help, I left some room for you to do some 45's if you're feeling like building something bombproof. port is the width of the box, 4in high, 22 deep tuning is just under 32hz, assuming some bracing and glass, maybe some 45's, tuning should go up slightly, you have about 1 cubuc foot to play with before it goes over 34hz. If youre going to go nuts on bracing, add about 1 inch of port, 2 max. pm me with your plans and whatnot, or if you want a nice paint sketch of dimensions and such. bangin_explorer Posted September 28, 2008 Report Share Posted September 28, 2008 the WHOLE enclosure is double baffled. there are 45's in the 4 corners (3"w X 21"h).. you shouldnt need any bracing really with the enclosure being double baffled, but you can throw some threaded rod in there if ya feel the need to.. if ya like it, feel free to send some loot.. and if ya need anything changed around let me know, it's no problem. check you're pm's for the screen shot..
