The Teardown Is Complete......working On The Rebuild Now...everything But The Box Edit New Pics Up 2-11-09

soi sure have my work cut out for me. the reason that i never posted a lot of pics of my setup is because i never got it looking the way that i wanted too.

Cut out the carpet, pulled out the center console, ripped the carpet off the front of the wall, pulled the amps, subs, wire, HU, everything

just to show that loud doesnt have to be ugle

so heres a list of things to come...im not doing anything too massive as far as building and **** like that.

Reseal the sides to the frame of the car using MDF instead of that stupid *** crap i had in there.

foam that

foam the bottom

foam the back sides of the newly made seal

Carpet the back side of the car

now that the back is done

get some work done on the roof....the flex has got to go

after the welding is done, get the front of the box carpeted/painted,

repaint the port

add/cover the new headliner,

rewire the mids and highs

install the amps

do something creative with the plastic trim pieces,

add jute to the floor to keep it quiet/soft

recarpet the floor

relocate the window/door lock switches to the front, right under the HU

paint the dash, redo the door panels to fit 4 mids/door and reinstall everything

so im going to create a shopping list of stuff that i need

this is gonna take me awhile......and ill post pics as i progress.

i had a friend weld it for me, ive never done that stuff before.

apparently from what ive been hearing is that they arent very good welds at all...

i really wish i had done some before and after pics, to see waht i started with, but i will get pics of the bare box (backside) tomorrow evening

here is a pic of the trim panel that i made to cover the remaining portion of the trunk floor, and its where the batteries will sit.

I made it using 1/2 inch HDF that i picked up from a friend

that light spot in the middle is glue.

ill recover it, or just leave it, because its all the way on the bottom...

oh well.....might be dirty

a part of the wiring tha ti had to tap into to relocate the switches to the middle dash....
