Chode69 Posted October 3, 2008 Report Share Posted October 3, 2008 this time for real last time it was a loose battery terminal not allowing the last bettery to get recharged so amp went into protect due to low voltage (about 9 :eek: ) so i put in a buss bar to eliminate the "last battery effect" and last night im cruising with some friends blasting wet dolphin C&S and out of no where a lil flash in the back of my truck and subs cut out and then a STRONG smell of burnt electronics. we pull over i check the subs and smell inside the box...nothing, check the amp not even warm but the smell was comming DRTONG from there the pos and neg terminals of the amp. no arching between there but right underneath the cover plate its a lil warm. so amp is fried. i honestly think its a defective amp. last time was my fault (kinda) with the loose terminals this time i KNOW its amp defect. FUCKKKK whats a good amp that will push out around 4500 watts @ 1 ohm i may send this amp out, get a new one and might sell it if i cant find an amp to replace it. this whole stereo deal since i got this durangho has been a headache. You need to bring the durangho down so we can build you a new box. Before id even put that amp back in dude, add more runs of 1/0 from the front, add bigger kinetiks, or check into a alt.
