alphasig293 Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Thinkin about replacing my jl audio w7's. Any suggestions? I have 3 jl audio 1000/v2's pushing them and the box is a little smaller than suggested by jl for a ported box. Wondering if there were any subs out there that your guys suggest that takes less enclosure space. Actually don't really care much about the sound quality, I just like my stuff loud lol, either way to tell you the truth, and the subs are 12's Quote 2005 Lariat F-150 On 30 inch DUBS 6 Crossfire XS-V2 18's 2 Cactus 12k's, 1 Cactus 1000, 1 sundown 100.4 12 - 6.5 Crescendo mids and 4 Crescendo supertweets SMD 340 alt, Mechman 270 alt 7 NSB 170 batterys
RamenNoodles Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Would you be switching out the amps too? If you are looking to louder, you might want to step up the power a bit as well. And would you just be dropping in new subs into the same enclosure? Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio

Same amps and def the same box, that box was a lot of money and time Quote 2005 Lariat F-150 On 30 inch DUBS 6 Crossfire XS-V2 18's 2 Cactus 12k's, 1 Cactus 1000, 1 sundown 100.4 12 - 6.5 Crescendo mids and 4 Crescendo supertweets SMD 340 alt, Mechman 270 alt 7 NSB 170 batterys

RamenNoodles Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Im not sure man, those are pretty nice subs and can definitely get decently loud with 3 of them in there. Maybe 3 subs that can handle the full 1k rms you are feeding them. But you could sell all 3 of those amps for about 500 a pop and get some different, more power amps for around the same price.
