Fi Arrived

Recommended Posts

ok. and i was wondering if it would even fit. right now i don't have much power to it but with in two weeks i am going to get a new amp to give it 750 rms.

12 guage is plentyyyyy

14 guage would also work just as well

i couldn't find it but on one of steve meades old builds i believe he used 8 awg on something like four 18's with 2,000 watts each, so 8,000 total, and he even said the 8 guage was over kill

In Steves defense, he has the capability of outputting 50 amps of current to each sub. So the 8 gauge is really the only safe bet. 8 gauge is good for a little more, but the length of the run becomes the real factor involved. 10 gauge would work too as long as the run is short enough.

I'm running 8 gauge aswell, but I'm a firm believer in overkill if at all possible, when it comes to car audio

i just got a FI Q12 and im running around 1000 watts to it i went ahead and used 8 awg simply because we had some lying around it doesn't really matter as long as you don't get any smaller than 12 but i'd say if you could get the 8 go for it can't hurt anything can it?
