Got_Bass89
Interesting... You'd think you'll pop a fuse if cut/short in wire... 97maxima
thats what i thought to but i was told a few minutes ago that it could be a dead short and they wont pop.ill just have to trace every inch of wire Quote American Bass*DC Power
E a r t h
Isolate all your batts and let them sit unhooked overnight.Check em with a dmm first thing in the morning before you hook em back up to see if a batt is low. 12.45 volts is 75% charge, so too much below that isnt good. start the engine and check for alternator output Ideally at the alt output post, but batt post will work.If that is over 13.5 you should be good. Make shure your cable to post connections are tight because that will discharge a battery as good as anything will. If you have one low or bad batt connected with other batts in parallel, the lower or bad one will pull from the good ones, trying to equalize each other, and will slowly discharge all batts simutaneously
97maxima
i seperated them and the front is over 13 at rest, with no malfunctions to speak of.im going to test both in the am,and also the wire too.i think the problem could be the hc-800 in the trunk.but the thing i dont get if that is the case ive only been running it less than year on one of my amps.as soon as i decided to pick up a second amp i installed the 1800. 97maxima
a very nasty pinch was in my wire.it runs near the driver side seat rail.this would explain hitting the breaks and the seat would lean slightly forward, then the car stops and the pinch would get tight.no problems yet.if anymore occur its not the wire/connections.it would lie in the hc-800.
