jagblazer01 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 So im upgrading the stereo again and I will be running 4 2400s in the rear of my truck. I have 2 runs of 1/0 going back there now and dont really want to do 2 more runs. Will I be ok with just 2 runs back or should I do 2 more? Second part of question lol....I have an 1800 under the hood. Should I isolate the rear batteries or no? If so, would I use 2 isolators (1 for each 1/0 run) or just run both hot wires to 1 isolator? Or if anyone can point me in a better direction that would be a plus as well. raytard Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 what kind of amps are being hooked up? more runs creates a higher voltage in the rear due to less resistance, and is probably a good idea if you're trying to do competition of any sort. What do you have as far as alternators? IMHO isolators are useless, just dont bump with the engine off for too long and you should be fine Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC

MECHMAN Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Two runs will work fine. Make sure you ground all you batts, alts, and amps to the same side framerail, (not the sheet metal body) and DO NOT use an isolator. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
