a_steezy Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 maybe its because you puttin 1500 plus to a l7 man that's what i was thinking, but i was just kinda wondering on the severety (sp?) of it, when i notice the smell i usually turn it down and let things cool off and to banging caddy or whatever, what'd you know, i got kicker to ship me a new amp and i've had no problems!!!! zomg!!! all those threads were more of less "kicker has terrible customer service and i simply want a new amp" got my new amp and i'm happy and the sub smell problem, as i've said on here, is being overpowered and that is why it's doing it. if the coils heat up to much i'm guessing the sub will go correct?
