im getting a 1998 Buick LeSable this weekend with only 32,000 miles on it. what are some things i can do to the car that would all add to under 500 dollars. i feel that since it sort of look likes an old man's car that any after market stuff i would add on to it would look bad. What do you guys think would look good on this car. Right now im thinking maybe tint, a car horn that makes different noises, pinstripes (maybe). what else do you guys think i should add that won't break the budget. I also want to add stuff to the interior.

Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"

Take it to a shop and have it looked at. Make sure everything is working fine and all your fluids are good before you start modifying or adding stuff to it. A well-running car beats a flashy broken car anyday.

For being a noob here (1 post) the guy gives good advice. I agree completely, have it get checked out first, THEN start adding upgrades

my mechanic is checking it out before i buy it. I know he will do a good job because my mom is a really good friend of his and he was the previous owner's mechanic.

x3, check it all out first, make sure the tires are good, the brakes have meat on em, fluids, etc. Im assuming something is gonna have to be changed or repaired or filled up, with the rest of the cash throw some tints on it, tints always set a car off.

then save up for a h/u, and a system

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

i have two subs, but they aren't good but, im gonna stick with them. i might build a new box and i want a new flip out head unit for under 250 dollars.
