jlaw Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 My 2001 GMC Jimmy came stock with a Bose system and i tried to replace the stereo with a new head unit. I wired everything and put the harness on but when i turned it on, no sound came out of the speakers or my subwoofer. The head unit turned on and showed that i was playing the radio and cd, however no sound came out of the speakers. I don't know if there is an external amplifier, if you know about anything on the topic post it here, cuz i need some help, peace -- JLaw --
jmsonoma03 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 if it has bose it has a amp it should have a turn on wire in the radio harness or you can find the amp and bypass it it will sound better that way.
