mx-sed Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 ok, so im runnin a 12" btl with a mmats 300.1. amp is rated at 2700 wrms and some people say its even underrated (dont know how true it is). power supply is not an issue so i only need help with box. with all that said my question was how much square inches of port do i need so that the woofer may play at its best(most bass) without damaging it (if my amp can even damage it). the box will be tuned at 32 and i would like to get 2.5 cubes. i read that you should make port 12-16 square inches per cubic foot.
