Hey guys, i got an extremly rookie/noob question... that will probably earn me alot of razing but yea, in the higher end audio industries, (fellas) like yourselfs, would it be looked down on if i used say a clarion amp to power my kicker subs?? i know its kinda stupid but i think what works works, and thats that but if you were at a show and saw some joe blow with this setup wats your opions??

Nothing wrong with Kicker subs...I dunno about Clarion amps, never used them myself. But like you said, if it works, it works. If it sounds good, that's even better. Some folks would look down on them because they're not known for their amps. I personally don't care about what you use, as long as it works for you and it sounds good. As far as shows....if it's a car show and the install is done cleanly, I don't think it should matter very much what you use, as long as it's clean. But if it's a car audio show or whatever, you probably won't win much with using Clarion amps.

i would judge more on the install and sound of it more then the brand un less it was JL or Jensen

JL = HIGH END QUALITY

Jensen = LOW END QUALITY

so he was saying if u were to get the higher end brand or a lower end brand you can tell right off the bat

I would judge on sound quality too...like I said at first. But I'm not a judge, so they might do it differently. Stick with well known, quality brands, and you can't lose man.

yeah... go with brands you trust that are gonna actually last... not saying a legacy predator isn't gonna last but trusted brands will generally be over all better and money well worth spending... oh and some companys do offer replacement guarentee...
