I Could Use Some Help

ok im building a ported enclosure for 4 alpine swr-1242d. i really could use some help designing the enclosure. i have built many enclosures before, but this customer is trying to go all out SPL with also daily music listening. i know type-r's arent the best for this by far, but its what he has. my max dimentions are 40.5 wide, 33 deep, and 19.75 tall, wanting it tuned around 32 hertz. any help would be greatly appreciated.

if he wants SPL 32 is way too low for that. also i found that 36-40 htz tuning is great for music and alot better for a number than 32. i found that out the hard way. it waz a week long and $100 mistake.

There is no such thing as "all out SPL" -AND- good music reproduction. If you have a good box you can hit pretty high numbers and have excellent music. But not optimum for SPL. It would be helpful to put the type of car its going in so some other guys here can help you better.

sorry i mis-spoke. didnt mean all out spl, but he wants it as loud as possible and still sound good for music. all he listens to is rap, and it will be going into a 2000?-2002? izuzu trooper. 3 layers of dynamat on roof and side panels. he is using 2 rockford t10001-bd amps. like i said before any help if greatly appreciated. i talked to an alpine tech, but they call for such a small box and port. it just makes me leery, i would rather get all your oppinions before i go with what they say. thanks so much.
