coolbreeze
OK, I figured out how to calculate my ports, port length, tuning and everything. But I have two questions. One, I want to port the box through the rear deck, so does adding the additional external port up to through the deck change my tuning. And two, should I face sub to the taillights or seat. I have a single 12" CVX in a Mazda RX-8. Amp is Kicker 750.1. Any other suggestions on the box would be appreciated if there is a better way to do it other than ported. I thought about bandpass but I'm still confused on that formula. Max parameters because of trunk opening are 29"w x 13"h, and roughly 10-15" deep. Boon
Yeah extending the port will affect the tuning. Your best bet is to start the port at the deck and only make it as long as it needs to be. The port doesn't have to be inside the box 10.x volts fo' life!
