kentb
here is the manual on the scytek astra 777 alarm and this is the wiring diagram for my 2000 ford explorer i already mounted the brain, the siren and the shock sensor. also wired them. i haven't wired the horn, parking lights and the doors. i need help on this. the wiring is kinda confusing. for the horn, it says that the wire is negative and must use a relay, how will i wire a relay with a negative wire? for the parking lights, do i just choose which wire polarity i will hook up from my car and just set the jumper? how will i know if the parking lights exceeds 10 amps and needs a fuse? i'm totally confused on how to wire the doors. don't need the triggers just need the unlock and lock feature. i suck at this.. thanks in advance to anyone that can help! Shyne151
I don't know how much I would trust that diagram, are you having problems finding some of the wires? because directechs is different on alot of those wires: 2000 Ford Explorer DirectWire 2.0 Vehicle Information All Products Item Wire Color Polarity Wire Location 12 Volts yellow + ignition harness Second 12 Volts Starter red/lt. blue + ignition harness Second Starter Ignition green/purple + ignition harness Two wires each at switch, both are common, only need to power 1 each during remote start. In the drivers kick panel find lt. green/yellow for the drivers rear door. In the passengers kick panel find gray/red for the passenger front door, and pink/lt. blue for the passengers rear door. All four wires are negative trigger and must be diode isolated together. Refer to directfax document #1076 for wiring information. Brake Wire lt.green + driver kick panel Parking Brake Horn Trigger yellow/lt. green - steering column The outputs on your alarm for the door locks should be negative, I would try hooking them straight up to the wires that are listed above for doorlocks(test them first of course).... this works with DEI units... if the pulse will be strong enough with your scytek, idk. Why are you hooking up horn wire, if you have the siren under the hood? anyways that should also be a negative trigger... just hook it straight up. Most of the time these negative triggers are just activating a relay... so you don't need a relay to activate a relay. I would hook the positive parking lights up at the switch... shouldn't exceed 10amps... if you are really worried get negative in the kick panel. Sorry it took so long to respond, been busy at the shop. Post up if you have any other questions.
