ohms work on 4ch amps just like a mono amp.

you could get more power per channel by wiring two speakers at 2ohm per chan rather than a 4ch amp at 4ohms per chan

or you could get a 4ch amp and wire 8 speakers up 2 per chan and get moar speakers with moar powa

BUT when doing 2 per chan you need to make sure the amp is stable at that load per chan and your staging will be weird (you lose either balance or fade when doing 4 speakers on a 2ch)

best bet would be pairing two (two front right and two more front left) and getting double power double speaker while still having the staging.

other options include 2ohm speakers or just a big 4ch that puts out losso power at 4ohms

It depends if the 2-channel has a higher rating at 2-ohms than the 4 channel @ 4 ohms and they are both Class AB.

I don't recommend running a 2-channel Class D amp on your highs.
