bunkerking09
Well i'll have my truck gutted for about he next month, so while i have all the plastics out, door panels, a pillars, carpeting, i want to change things up a little bit. Make it more,"Custom" you could say. My truck is a dark red in color, but hopefully sometime this summer it will go all black So I want to paint all the interior black, and possibly change the carpet to a really dark gray? I'm not sure. Suggestions on lighting, paint, anything thing else interior wise would be really helpful The truck is 1997 ranger fyi

Take a look at how Steve did the Hoopty interior, or maybe Kyle Golden's truck interior. They are not too extreme, but they really add a new beauty to the stock look. If you change everything to black, it eventually gets bland and ruins any lighting you put into the car. I would pick some softer colors that match the exterior (after you paint it) and wrap the pieces instead of paint. Than decide lighting afterwards. bunkerking09
I think i would like to go with a black base coat and then....green racing striped DUN DUN DUN!!! I've always like the black / green color combo. I'd love to see this truck dropped on black 20's with that paint and a loud ass stereo. Airborne
Black and green? Gross. I would figure out what I want my interior to do for me. Is it going to be about looks, comfort etc. You can have it all but all black would be a whore to keep clean. Tan always looks nice with black. Easy on the eyes too. And wrapped is always better than paint. You can get SEM plastic paint and it would be OK but a little bit of vinal can go a long way in the looks department. Its just got a sense or...evil to it? I dunno. I guess i do want something a bit more comfortable, but new seats are a ways off, and i won't be able to recline much with a huge box right behind me lo. I won't have that kind of money till I get back from AIT. Good to see another serviceman here btw.

Derrick824
I like the look of some nice polished aluminum inserts. They would go great with a black interior too. Also this would be a good time to do any sound deadening.
