sodfamily
Ok, quick run down. I will be installing a 200amp HO Alternator with a Kinetik HC1400 up front and doing the big three with all 1/0 gauge wire. In the back I will be placing 2 Kinetik HC1800 in the trunk. This is to power 2 SAE1000d's (90amps each) and a SAX-100.4D (also 90 amps). Each SAE1000D's will be ran at 1ohm and on a single Pioneer TS-W3001D2. The thing I am a little unclear with is how do I hook the batteries in the trunk up to the front. Do i use a single 1/0 run from the alternator back to the first battery and then piggy back to the second? Or do I run off the front battery back to back batteries. banginAltima
There is three ways you can do this... 1. You can run 2 wires from front to back 2. You can run 1 wire from the front to one battery in the back and then to the other battery 3. You can run 1 wire into a fused distribution block then to both batteries (this is how I run mine) If you build it, db's will come... sodfamily
Ok, so let me see if i got this. I would take a run off my positive terminal up front and run it to the back. I would then run it into a fused distribution block and them take a run to each battery. Do I then need to have a cable run between the batteries them self? Also when it comes to wiring up the amps dose it matter which battery I pull from or should I have some sort if positive bus bar? If I use a buss bar can i just hook that up to one of the batteries. There is no need for a cable between batteries because the distribution block does that already. Your powering two amps right? Just wire one amp to one battery. If you build it, db's will come... sodfamily
Your powering two amps right? Just wire one amp to one battery. I will be powering a total of three amps..(2 SAE1000d's and a SAX-100.4D).. Or see about pulling it from the distribution block. Edit: You could run a 4 gauge from the front for the 100.4. If you build it, db's will come...
