stereomayhem Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 The old lady has an 05 chevy cobalt (piece of shit!). after about 5 minutes of driving the power steering goes out and the light on the dash comes on. If you let the car sit for about 30 minutes the power steering works fine again until the car heats back up. Any suggestions? str86diesel Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 Sounds like you could be low on fluid too. If you are driving for 5 minutes, that is plenty of time for the pump to drain the fluid if it's low...then letting it sit will bring the fluid back.
