Guest mkornely89 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 When you buy a pair of speakers or tweeters, and you read the specs on the box, and it says 60 Watts RMS, does that mean per speaker, or total (30 watts to each)? Also When it says 4 ohms, is that per speaker? so wired in parallel would be 2 ohms.
11BangBang Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 since compnent sets have a crossover and there is an imput from the amp, and then 2 outputs for the speakers that means that they are both getting around the same watts, so for most sets that means that each speaker can handle 65 rms 2001 Tahoe Alpine IVA-W505 2 OPTIMA's RED/YELLOW DUAL ALTs 140/220 (2) HIFONICS BXI1280D (1) HIFONICS ZXI6408 (4) ALPINE SPR-13S 5.25 (4) ALPINE SPR-17S 6.5 (2) KICKER 15L7 at 1 ohm 4.5 CUBIC@38HZ
