sodfamily Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I have read thought several pages of posts and really didn't find the answer I was looking for, so I figured i would ask. I am running 2 SAE-1000D's (@ 1ohm each), 1 SAX-100.4D and will have a 200amp HO alternator. 1) Can I just replace the front battery with a Power Master D2700 and call it a day or should I do a second one in the trunk? 2) Are these Batteries big enough or do I need to go bigger or smaller? 3) How do you know what size batteries to buy? Is there a chart or something out there to help? 4) Is there is a direct relationship to the amps the batteries put out and what we need to run the bigger systems. Head Unit: Alpine CDA 9887 Sub Amps: 4 RF2500's Subs: 8 SA-12's Walled Comp Amp: 1 RF600.2 (for now) Comps: (4) 6.5 Punch Mid Pros and 2 Punch Pro Tweeters Batteries: (1) XS D5100 (5) D3100 Power Cables: 2 runs of 2/0 power and ground each front to back(Try-Star) Alternator: Dual Mechman Rhino 250's Deadener: Fatmat / Damplifier Pro
Derrick824 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 You should be fine with the 200a alt and just the D2700 under the hood. Start with that and if needed add a second battery in the back later.
