Then divide 40,075,020 Meters by 299,792,458 Meters to get 0.133675877 seconds ? I think this is it. edit... and for a human to blink 100 to 150 milliseconds thats .1 to .15 of a second... so what your saying is that we would be back in the blink of an eye Quote Quote

A light photon has zero mass there for it moves at "the speed of light". Since a human being can not have a zero mass we can not theoretically move at the speed of light. But if we where to have a negative mass then we could technically move faster than the speed of light. Does this sound right? nah that cant be right, a photon does have a mass because this is what einstein used to prove his theory of special relativity. if you shine light past something with massive amounts of gravity the light will actually bend around the object. so if there was a black hole and you shined a laser near it the laser would acctually bend when going past it thats how i made my theory that a black hole was not a rip in the universe but it was really such a heavy planet with a mass amount of gravity that it sucked in all light around it and wouldnt let it reflect so it would give off the look of pitch black. ryde2idie Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 i made this idea of capturing the suns light within mirrors like if you had 2 mirrors facing eachother but one was angled and you put a thick piece of glass in the middle and then moved the one angled mirror perfectly perpindicular to the other mirror at the speed of electricity you just might be able to capture the image of the sun in the mirrors but you wouldnt be able to see it because once you moved the mirrors it be gone but i thought maybe youd be able to bank off the energy that was there but my physics teacher said it would eventually go away because of the heat escaping but if you could keep it at 0 degrees kelvin (which is impossible for scientist today) you might be able to hold the suns power forever just incase it would ever burn out. I'll be taking physics again next semester in college. well scientist say that a black hole was a planet that had such mass that it ripped thru the fabric of the universe and if you tried to go in it you would die because the gravitational pull would rip u too bits but they say it would feel good kinda like gettin the best full body message Quote Quote
