Suggestions On My 15" Fi Q Box Design

Been trying to get this box as perfect as i could before i start building it, took me a while to get it close to 4 cubes with the sub and port displacement subtracted. The box is 5.4 cubes total, the port is about 1 cube, and the sub takes up about .2 cubes of space...so i end up with ~4.2 cubes not including all the bracing. The port is tuned to 33hz and it's 4" x 24.4".

If you have any criticism or suggestions that would help me improve the box before i start building it would be helpful.

looks solid! a bit much on bracing but if you have the materials and time then go for it.

lol thats what i said when i was done but i guess it dosent hurt to have too much than not enough.

put a 45 in the port corner...also I would just brace the baffle with a vertical piece of MDF. Then brace the port wall to the bottom.

ALSO- i just realized that it is almost identical to this one i built

what car will it be going into and how much power?

thought about putting a 45 in the port corner but then i would have to make the corner opposite from it 45 also to keep the port 4" wide all the way across, but i just dont have the tools to make cuts like that. If i had a table saw i would definitely do it but i dont think i could make cuts accurate enough with a circ saw.

It's going in my jeep cherokee, i pm'd one of the sundown audio guys who has the same jeep as i do and asked him what port/sub direction works best in the car and he said port up and sub up.

oh and it's getting ~1000 watts rms

should sound good!! and put the corner piece in the port- if you get out sketchup and measure the port actually widens at the bend so the corner pieces smooths the transition and keeps the port 4" all the way

ahh ic now, yea it's like 5.4" in the corner instead of 4", thx

i took out most of the dowels and just used 1 to support the top and bottom of the box and 1 to support the top of the box to the bottom of the port and 2 on the side of the box. And i'll use an all-thread for the opening of the port like in the pick you showed me.
