Honestly, I had some problems running mine in the beginning but eventually tweeked everything out for max performance and now both of mine can run full tilt without a problem.

As of right now, I have 300A alt, 4 Kinetik 2400s, 2 Kinetik 1400s under hood, 3 runs of 1/0 pos and neg (6 total), copper and aluminum 3/8" and 1/4" buss bars all around, Big 3, all soldered...yada yada yada

My main problem in the beginning was that every time the bass hit, my new alternator belt slipped and it took me forever to find out because one of my buddies heard it squealing while I was troubleshooting the voltage drop. That's why I have so much in my little car as far as power upgrades.

I'd say you need more batteries for sure and a new alternator at the very least. These amps are touchy and blow easily when the voltage goes even moderately low (high 11s). The new ones are better with low voltage, but the 2008 and before kinda need 12+ all the time.

EDIT: If you're sticking with Kinetik, I'd say 2 2400s at the least in the bank by the amp.

What about 1 hc3800 would be cheaper than two hc2400.

If you have room for dual alts I'd do that with an MLA module. If you could upgrade your alternator to a nice 250-300 unit and add a few more batteries (or 2-3 2400s) you would be in good shape. Once you touch 12.5v I wouldn't let it go any lower with the 4kw.
