Need Port Help

I'm maxed out space wise with this box and cant go any larger its aprox 4.4 Ft^3 (-/+ .05) for 2 12" BL's. I was planning on using a 6" Aeroport tuned to 32 Hz. I went out got the wood cut, brought the peace's to put together and realized I didn't take into account port area. Fi recommends 12-16 square inches of port area per 1 Ft^3 of volume. I only have 6.4 square inches if I use one 6" aeroport. If I use more the displacement of the port will take up space fast inside the box since I'm limited in that department.

What should I do?

That port area ratio is for slot ports. Aeroports are different, you'll be fine.

Should the ports fire up or back? If they fire back theres only about 3 inches to the hatch of the trunk. (Minivan)
