i have a jbl gto1400.1 amp an im wondering everyones opinion on it, i think its a good amp but uses way to much power, i have a optima yellow top hooked up to it an it still dimes the lights when the bass hits, so leave your opinion an your opinion of comparable amps

Of course it dims the lights. You could have 60 Yellowtops on it and your lights would still dim, I'm assuming you have a stock alternator?

Lights dimming happens because the amp uses more current than the alternator (14.4v) can supply so the voltage drops down to your battery voltage (12.8v) so your lights get a little dimmer.

The JBL amps are actually pretty efficient.
