But I didn't plan out the lighting scheme or wire runs for anything. I am really considering bedliner though! Once again I forgot to put my damn headliner in so I'm looking for a neutral color (black or gray) to match everything else. And I'm about to splurge again and buy a shit load of mids and highs. I have 800W of 4-channel so I was thinking about dressing it up with some RF Powers which also have black/gray. Haven't decided yet. If your PT is old enough like 2001 or 2002, the 'center' section of the door panels is a seperate section that can be removed, 2003 and later its all one piece of plastic. Point being, you can cut out that center section leaving the outer tan "ring" snapped to the door and replace the center with a sheet of MDF and fiberglass whatever you want in there! If you are interested in a-pillar pods, I have pics of mine in my log, they are pretty easy to do and really sound great in a PT. Also the center of the dash is where the factory RKE sits, move it and you have a perfect spot for a center speaker! I tucked my RKE forward and upright and did not have to cut any wires, just trimmed the dash plastic under there. ....sorry on the lights man, I gotta have em!! ptcary Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Oh you've got talent, the latest wall is very clean looking. you just need to decide what you want! I would do a-pillars definately, does memphis do a 4" component set? Then maybe a pair of 8"s in each door, shallow subs for the doors would be nice, not sure if you want all memphis speakers. Keep in mind that a 6.5" in the center of the dash REALLY helps a PT, I don't use mine for surround sound, its there to add more midrange up front and center. I power mine off of the headunit and it does a great job. My doors are next but my problem is deciding what I want in there, I'd like to do an 8" and a 6.5" midbass in each door, and if I am going that far, a second 4 channel amp to go 3-way active up front would be needed, too. I am sure the wall will keep you busy for a while, while you decide what you want and need up front. Keep an eye on ebay for 2001-2002 door panels if you want an extra set to play with. I was looking into mimicking the Hoopty's color pallette with the black and gray and I bought a roll of black vinyl. I can't find the material that Steve used for the gray carpet though. Does anybody know what that is or where to find it? I'm gonna wrap all my pieces to match that scheme. I wanted also to use the RF Power series speakers throughout. So...I went and bought four sets of the Punch by accident. (A slight memory error with model number) And then after realizing that I bought a bunch of RF Power too. I decided I'll do 8 Punch speakers for the rear stage, 3 RF Power 2-ways and a sub in each door and RF Power components for the A-Pillars so I can put it all to use. Everything is on its way now despite the mistake. And also, I'm not sure about it, but I'm gonna try to take the car to SBN. I just found out that we're going to Afghanistan so I gotta get this done and hopefully have time to take it to some shows. I'm hoping to have the wall fully braced, sanded, wrapped, and operational this weekend. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
