A yellow top is always good, or look into either and hc800 from kinetik http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8531.html

or hc600 -a batcap 800 series is practically the same as this and a couple of these in parallel is fine for what u have

just make sure to upgrade with the big 3.

so with a hc800, and a mad big 3 upgrade, you suppose ill need yet another alternator, my stock one puts out 100 amps at 14.4 volts...its an isuzu rodeo, 1999

pokey's right a red top would be better, they charge back up faster if ur gonna put this battery in the back mainly for the amps. but yeah, you would probably get away fine with that setup since its not something extreme, but 100 amps seems a lil low. id upgrade that alt if i were you or youd get dimming

Don't use a yellow top....use a red top.

any reasons for backing that up there dude?? lol

That's what I was gonna say Chris...and yellow tops are for deep cycle...not constant use (systems) yellow tops drain fast to use the power for a few cycles and take longer to charge back up. Red Tops are much better suited for constant use type applications.

oh no... isolators are mainly used to do exactly what they say, ISOLATE a certain battery say 1 for starting, another for stereo etc. steve doesnt use any and hes got 7 batteries. if you connect a redtop in the back to the one up front in parallel with some 1/0g ul just be using both for starting and both for system. no need for one :calm:
