I'm not sure which one it is, and i'm not sure why it does what it does. Is there a general rule behind this happening? It was in a box of 4, and only one did it...Could it have just been wired wrong, in both setups? creyc Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Could one have been wired in parallel while the rest were in series? That would cause one to pull much more power. There could also be a tear in its surround/soft parts causing it to "free air" basically. Same would hold true with a leaky gasket, although if its shared airspace all subs will be affected. IAMBUMP Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 the subs are no in a box or anything anymore, i took it out of my old truck and saved em for a future setup. is there anything i can do with them with no power or anything to check them? how can i check to see if they are backwards in polarity with a dmm.
