Port Placement For Wall

have'nt done a wall before, kinda curious if any one has any feed back on where the best place for the port should be? thinking of walling my 93 extended cab dakota. having the wall hard against the seats. would it be best for the port be on the top side, against the headliner? firing forward. . . thinking that it would'nt have any obstructions there. also how does it effect the subs being directly behind the seats? does this take away from their output? or should i do a box with subs up/port up, forward, middle, etc.? i have seen both ways alot, which is best for daily driver with heavy bass?

in an extended cab truck you may want subs up ports up. Not much depth for a proper wall an the advantage of the wall will be minimal.

Best wall design to hit the meter hard is subs stacked on the pass.side and port on drivers side.

right on, another question. . . what is the rule of thumb on height? i've seen folks mention window line, but i figured that is for competing. what is a good distance to stay away from the roof with subs up/port up? trying to get plenty of cubic feet for box. not that i know what subs i am getting yet.
