audiofanaticz Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Im selling my Iraggi 300 amp "Amputator" series "externally regulated" Alternator from my Caddy that I sold. Its a large case GM (CS-144). operates from 13 volt - 21 volt (with a turn of a dial)!! It dont fit on anything I own. I ordered it Dec 28th 2007 but had no response for a while, I didnt received it til Feb 11th 2008, didnt install it for a couple weeks later. The car has sat since the beginning of winter this year. So Its less then a year old. The alternator was origionally bought as a dominator and after speaking with Dom I upgraded to a amputator series with a longer warranty and 140 amp output at idle vs the dominator that would do about 100amps at idle. The Alternator is in great working order. Kept my Powermasters VERY HAPPY The voltage regulator needed some tlc, but I fixed up the plastic bracket on top now. After it broke under the hood I just wraped the hell out of the connections in electrical tape and it continued to work fine til I took it all out. I have I also cut the cord for the knob that adjusts the voltage, I wanted to be able to change voltage without having to get out the car, and mounted it inside (its just a 3 wire cord) I used trailer hitch wiring I had laying around to extend it. Everyone says Dom uses broken or used points inside the alternator or some crap like that. Being my alternator is externally regulated there is no plug on the back and can see right in the case to get pics of these things. So I will get some updated pics of these. I think there was 6 or 7 of them. After upgrading to the amputator series alt and sent the difference in price I have $544.46 spent on this. Im going to ask: $225.00 Plus S&H I need this gone, Its been used for less then a year!! Paypal or pickup only, I maybe willing to drive a little bit to make a sale!! Refs: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=19594 Pics towards the bottom of page along with paypal payments to Dom @ Iraggi Alternator. Onto specs and direct bolt ups(took from Iraggi ebay auctions). NOTE** This is what Iraggi says it will fit. Ive noticed a few that dont work out like my tahoe for one. Please goto www.autozone.com and search for an alt for your vehicle and look at the picture and model number. The bolt positions on my alt are 12 and 6. Rotors »» Remote Mount Potentiometer Terminal Identification: IGN, NEG, FLD FOR USE ON: Competion systems, Industrial, EMV, Limo, Marine, Police Car, RV, Taxi.. Three wires you connect on the top are positive, negative, and field. You want to connect the POS to a ignition source, so the regulator turns on/off with the car. the negative gets grounded to the car or battery. the field wire is what goes to the smaller stud on the back of the alternator, this is what excites the alt to whatever voltage. I will included a diagram I found online on how to wire an external regulator if needed.
audiofanaticz Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 PM me offers, Im very open on price. Im selling it less then was told to sell it. Im able to work on price, hence the Or Best Offer. Just need it gone.

audiofanaticz Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 Still need this gone! I got the regulater back to a respectful look. now wires from a broken bracket hanging all out. Its all tight and secure. Totally forgot to call Dom to see if its still under warranty. Kinda busy today I did not reattach the gray wire. Like I said previously theres 3 wires inside the cord that are (color coded) that goto the knob), you can extend that knob as far as you need and keep the regulator under the hood and have ease of adjust voltage on the fly. Without having to get out the vehicle and turn some knob on the back of the alt. This will make your voltage any where from 13volts to 21 volts!! You dont need a MLA module when you got a regulater.

*1LOWSUV* Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 1994 Chevy Suburban 5.7L V8 This is what my Alt looks like...3-pin connector I believe but I didn't count...I need a definate answer if it will fit... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif [email protected]
audiofanaticz Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 from your pics 1lowsuv it looks like it will work! disreguard my pm, but maybe look just to be certian, you must have a non vortex gm 5.7L? Edit: and yes my caddy ran a 3 pin connector also, but only 1 brown wire like yours. with this alt there is no place to plug your plug into, the blue box comming with the alternator will tell your alternator what to charge at, and you turn the dial to what voltage you want.
