Sometimes in competion I see people fan there doors open and close. Doe that really help you gain a db or two? I was told it helps relase pressure in your car that builds up. True or fale?

REALLY loud cars.. the doors are so damn heavy the doors cant be fanned.. they wont hold up their own weight without a jack. I see outlaw street cars do it too.. i really dont see how more pressure can fit into the cab if you fan and shut the door.

well, my understanding of it is that if your box is not tunned high enough, opening the door or fanning will gain you, but if your box is tunned highenough, it won't make a diff. so if your tuned in the low thirties, faning will pry help. but if your in the 40's or so, it may not help.

but thats my understanding on it
