ROBERT 04XBLZ
ive never done or heard components before. what kinda difference in sound quality is there? im sure there is a plus in quality otherwise there wouldnt be any. but like right now i have regular coax eclipse speakers on an alpine amp. the xxx setup the 6.5 is pretty much a mini woofer right? the only thing that it will be doing is creating bass. so no words or things like that come out of it.. raytard
depending on the crossovers, a whole lot can come out of the woofer, something like jl uses a 5000hz crossover, 5000 is very high in the range, considering most voice is like 500-1000hz. the woofer and tweeter work together to make up the complete sound range, and using components basically makes them do it more effeciently and cleanly, and generally with more power handeling and the ability to raise the soundstage with tweeter placement. You'll be happy going from coax to components Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
