bumonskateboard6
Dana 44 = good choice, however if you don't have about a grand to have a shop build one and professionally install it for you you're outta luck. I SHATTERED a spider gear in the Dana 35 in my Cherokee. Best thing I recommend is look for a shop in town that deals only with differentials, I found one locally that sold me 2 spider gears and a carrier pin for 15 bucks, it took about an hour and some simple hand tools to get it done, the place also offered to open up my diff and take a look inside for free. However if your speedometer is still working then you may not have blown a spider gear and it could be an axle gear that broke a tooth off, this happened to me too, when that happened I just welded the whole rear end locked and decided to buy a replacement axle for when I snap this one. Good luck. modnoc13
gust pull the diff and look see what it is i would look for a ford 8.8 out of a 96 or newer explore you could get it for 400 all day long that is what i put in my 92 yj it is gust as strong as a dana 44 it would cost you about 600 in all and you cant get a dana 44 cost that

bumonskateboard6
Best of luck, after I exploded the spider gears in my D35 I was able to drive it still by putting it in 4wd, if you break down put it in 4 and drive front wheel.
