Best Subwoofer Frequency?

whats the best frequency to tune your box for music? i keep hearing about the 32-40 range for enclosures. my system isnt going to be built for spl comp or anything i really just want a loud pounding bass that will set of an alarm and allow ppl to hear me before they see me lol

right now i plan on building a box thats tuned at 33hz that i made on bassbox pro. I listen to alot of hip hop/rap

Good frequency to tune to for is around 35-37hz for music.

I like to tune low, but that's just me. My current box is at 32Hz. But my last one was at around 25-28 if my memory serves correctly, and I loved it.

There is no "best", its just your preference...generally 35 hz is the norm though.

so like in the 33-34hz area is a good music frequency bu will also hit some good lows?

tuning depends on enclosure volume and driver...really there is no one best frequency to tune...best is relative to what you want.

also depends on what vehicle you have. no box will sound exactly the same in 2 different cars.

It also depends on the woofer. What are you running?
