IAMBUMP Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 once again i thought i posted this before and couldn't find it. i have my old school alpine, and want to get a new school head unit as well to run under the seat. reason being my old school alpine wont play burned cd's or my ipod. so i want to get a cd player that will. my only concern is the tuning, wont it change between each source? i may be able to get it how i want with the new unit but if i switch from it to the old school alpine, that tuning wont be around anymore. right? anyways, how would i wire this up? Like RCAs coming in? yes, it does. its one of the old alpines that needed an amp to even work. so yes, it has two sets i believe. I think you shouldn't bother trying to double up the head units until you understand how one works. It's going to be more trouble wiring another one in there (especially since you would have to pull the old one out anyways) than to just put the new one in. And I doubt it has inputs being that old so you couldn't do it properly anyways. *EDIT: If your 6-disc changer is attached to the HU then you most likely have inputs, but it's taken up by the changer.
