BassJunkie Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 With the nooby questions that is, well I have only built sealed enclosures, and I'm telling you that I absolutely SUCK at math, and the next enclosure I am building is going to be ported, I want it tuned to 40 hz, I keep seeing people saying (for example) 19 inches of port, does that mean 19 square inches or port in any type of shape that I want it? 01xtreme Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 port is either area(H x W), and length. in order to find your tuning you have to know the volume of your enclosure, and from there you can plug the port area, and length into a calculator with the box volume, and it will tell you what the enclosure is tuned to.
