tejcurrent
My brother is running a 2006d to his 12" BL with no problems. He did get the sub hot during testing once (solid test tones for a while)- but his voltage dropped so low his truck shut off on him lol. creyc
I think you would be alright with 2000 rms CLEAN unclipped power. I've got 1500 rms to my Havocs (fully loaded Q's) and they take it like a champ, the BL is designed for a bit more power, better cooling, so I would feel pretty confident giving it 2k rms. dmanson
that's why i give my brutus 15.2 voltages, she lets my DCs have it all the time. if you want to see true wattage out of that amp, have your electrical up to par. dmanson
i've always wanted a RF, sundown and some other amps that do more power than they are rated. i'd rather have more power than needed. i could have purchased a nice RF amp or any other but decided to spend that dough on a mechman 225 amp alt, kinetik hc2000 and an MLA module to keep my voltage up. i'm sitting at 15.1 all day and when i do get on it, i rarely it rarely drops below 14.5. dmanson
no all amps require 15volts to get rated power... and you are correct. doesn't hurt to give the amps a lil more than 14.4 which is the standard voltage on most amps.
