Chris
I'm wondering if anyone can describe to me how an amp that says "3-way capable" functions. I understand this somewhat and awhile back I took a 2 channel Pioneer amp and wired a 4ohm sub to each channel and another 4ohm sub to the bridged outputs at the same time. I had all 3 subs playing like this and they sounded loud, clear, and I didnt blow any fuses or anything. Is this what 3-way capable means? 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. lovellsz
i maybe wrong but the way i understood it was you take like a pair of regular speakers and wire them one per channel then take a sub and bridge the amp(using a 2 channel amp) with the sub you use a lp x over like the kinda you have inline not the one on the amp, and you have the amp set on full or ap. Then it plays all 3 speakers the two on full pass and the sub on low pass. Chris
is this all on one amp? Yeah I had 3 subs going off 1 2 channel amp and nothing went wrong. Had it in the car for a while actually, but the amp had a hi-pass crossover built in so I wasnt runnin rca's maybe this is why nothing blew? 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. Guest MegaloManiac
3 way means like 3 way active or 4 way active. you have your -Highs -Midrange -Midbass -Sub (this one would make it a 4 way if you have all of the above )
Chris
Would this mean i could hook up a 6x9 to each channel and then a 4ohm svc sub to the bridged output? 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.
