and a little side note to my op.... im not looking for them to be complete spl monsters because i know im asking about the BTL alot. but something that can be loud as hell and take some seriousl power and sound good as hell at the same time. and have that wow factor when people hear it.

I say if you want the spl wow factor then buy an spl sub. I almost bought 2 ss rl-p 15s but ended up with my fi bl 15s for the same price and couldnt be happier.

the other thing that got my attention with the rl-s is that they are supposed to be low end monsters and sound great too....i know the btl's arent at all aimed towards sq but do you think they pick up lows as good as the rl's?

ttt

for the money, id get something else

they would be great in a home application in a large sealed box

in a car, again, large sealed box

massive amounts of excursion

if i had to compare, likely a tc lms

so they arent really made to put out big spl numbers and are made really for sq?

hmm, well, yes and no

they need 2000w+

they get low as fawk

and remain very linear throught bl curve

thats more sql

i would not consider them strickly spl by any means, but they will put up decent numbers, but u could spend less and get more
