And really the power would be the same, but it really all comes down to the coil paired up with the right magnet... really im just taking a SWAG at it. I at least researched a LITTLE. (SWAG = Scientific Wild Ass Guess) 1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE Broke stock Head Unit Stock speakers suck -if I get a job, it gets 2 SA 8s in a 2.5cube box (roughly 2 cube with the port and woofers in)- -oh, and a new HU and some speakers that dont suck. and possibly a new muffler and tint job (previous owners tint is smudging in the back, if you know how to get tint off a window without damaging the heating stuff, let me know!!!)-

(SWAG = Scientific Wild Ass Guess) if the motor is supposed to push a 15" or something, and you're trying to push a 32" or 34", i don't think it'll sound all that great. and if the power is the same, don't you think you would want MORE power to a 32"?? i mean, why make a 32" or 34" if you can't put more power then a 15" or something?? 1994 Ford F150 reg cab 2 HFX 12's Audiopipe APSM-1300
Sniper Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 well you gotta think, Efficiency, the main reason why 2 12s will sound better than 2 8s if the given amount of power is the same. SPL is the key factor, Cone mass really affects it too.
