Looks like i don't ever clean my ears, but i actually do 1-2 times a day. The heat from the candle melts the ear wax. You hold them straight up and pressed into your ear so its completely sealed but not too hard because it will close the bottom of the candle. It has to pull air up from the inside and sucks the wax up with it. Might be wrong but close enough.
