bumonskateboard6 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Just ordered one of these for my Acura Tl, looking through the installation guide and it says to hook up "car speed signal input" and "reversegear signal input" wires. I know I have to hook up the parking brake and got that one done. But is it really necessary for the speed and reverse wires?? And if so does anyone know where these would be located in a 2002 Acura Tl? Chode69 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 speed pulse make it more accurate also say if you lose signal to the satellite (ie tunnel, tall buildings) it will calculate how fast your going in correspondance to where you "should" be. raytard Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 i left it all unhooked it my car, honestly all i hooked up was the bypass, power, ground, ignition, and rca's please tell me you bypassed it, pm me if you didnt, its useless without being bypassed and going by my resources, you can get speedsense as a blue/white wire in the cruisecontrol unit above the accelerator pedal, may be a PITA to get to...prob have to drop the underdash and get upside down with a flashlight to find it. its not 100% necessary....like it was stated before it's only if you lose satellite connection, like when you go in a tunnel or something. idk about you but i dont make many turns within tunnels, and it picks right back up once you leave, the unit is very quick at regaining signal after it loses it. How'd you set up your bypass though?
