skin effect only happens with very high frequencies, like 20khz or 10khhz

http://www.bcae1.com/trnsfrmr.htm <play with that, notice if you set frequency at 0, aka dc current, there is no skin effect whatsoever

higher strand count, and a thinner jacket, contribute to flexibility

with some logic, higher strand count+same or similar diameter=smaller strands=less airspace=more of the crossection is copper and not air

then again, a ssingle strand of 0 carries more power than that 5145strand stuff, assuming the same OD of copper...my friend's mom gave me a piece, shes an electrician that works on wiring skyscrapers in nyc, and they use that for high current stuff, she said they have like a mini-mandrel machine to bend it, and i believe it, that stuff is beast.

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

Team DC

how does stinger wire compare

Knu is going to be your winner,

but tsunami is going to be cheaper then the knu by a bit. Im not sure if tsunami is making new wire, or closing up shop on making wire, but its on closeout and can be had for $223 for 100 feet.

tsunami and knukonceptz kolossus fleks are both copper tinned aluminum wires.

The kolossus fleks has more strands

The kolossus fleks is 70+% more flexible

The kolossus fleks is thicker (more wire, less casing) by a lot!

The kolossus fleks handles more amps.

The tsunami wire is over $1.00+ per foot cheaper.

tsunami and stinger hpm are pretty compairable in size, tho hpm is almost as fleksable as knu kolossus fleks.

Id personally pay a bit more and get knu fleks before ordering stinger hpm @ cost becuase of the size difference..

Not the best pics, but stinger hpm is the clear, tsunami is blue, and knu fleks is red.

Ya thats pretty good example... Tsunami is the smallest... My scorpion is like stinger in size and knu is still the biggest and pretty damn flexable...
