Cabin Gain

Can any1 tell me what ways there are to figure out ur cars cabin gain???

Put some subs in there in a sealed box setup.

Mic it.

Run a sweep over and over or a buncha sweeps and note the freq your interior peaks @.

Try to use a setup you know can produce a decent amount of bass at all freq's you wanna check so you have abetter chance of finding your peak buy exposing it to the whole bandwidth you will be interested in. A ported/badpass box would throw other factors (i.e. tning of the box) in there and make it tougher to tell where your CABIN peaks rather than where the BOX peaks.

All you need is a peak hold mic. even a jenky Radio shmack boom stick would do it.

it's all "skewed" but since you just want peak it's ok, just don't go telling folks "my 1-10" sub pulled a 150db in my truck!"
